C-TEC’s revolutionary CAST-PRO integrated fire detection and alarm devices have been specified for a hotel on Liverpool’s iconic waterfront.
With stunning views over the river Mersey, the 64-bedroomed Dolby Hotel is close to the city’s main attractions and a popular venue for tourists. The closed-protocol fire system installed at present is set to be replaced by one of C-TEC’s powerful CAST ZFP touchscreen-controlled addressable fire panels connected to CAST-PRO integrated fire detection and alarm devices.

Comprising heat, smoke and CO fire detection plus a tone or voice sounder and a visual alarm device in just one unit, CAST-PRO is a one device solution which not only offers exceptional fire protection but the potential to significantly reduce the false fire alarms which can have severe consequences for hotels and other leisure complexes.

Phil Lomas, MD of Liverpool-based G3 Security Systems, the specialist fire company responsible for the project, said: “I visited C-TEC’s manufacturing facility last year with my client who was so impressed with the company’s CAST ZFP and CAST-PRO’s false alarm reduction capabilities that he insisted on their installation in all his properties and forthcoming projects.”
“From an installer’s point of view, we love the fact that CAST-PRO has multiple functions in just one unit. It’s a true one device solution that has so many time, cost, installation and functionality advantages and makes our work so much easier.”

British-built, CAST-PRO is fully-certified to EN 54 parts 3, 5, 7, 17, 23, 29 and 31 and compatible with C-TEC’s ZFP CAST touchscreen controlled addressable fire panel and ENVISION cloud-based Fire IoT software – a combination that offers protection from fire, false alarm reduction and system status information like never before.
