C-TEC’s powerful CAST-PRO integrated fire detection and alarm devices are protecting a suite of executive offices in Manchester.
Located in a striking Grade II listed building overlooking Princess Street, Axis Property Consultancy provides expert professional services to property companies, corporates and local authorities. Leading facilities management company, Bodhi Solutions, were tasked with installing one of C-TEC’s flagship ZFP CAST addressable fire panels linked to a series of CAST-PRO multifunctional integrated devices to provide the property with the ultimate protection.
With its user-friendly touch-screen controls, innovative networking capability and flexible cause and effects, the 2-loop ZFP was the natural choice for the building. Situated in the reception area, its colourful brightly lit display gives constant feedback on system activity and, in an emergency, will pinpoint the precise location of a fire. The panel links to 25 integrated CAST-PRO fire detection and devices which cover the offices, meeting rooms and restrooms.
Joseph Gordon, Bodhi’s Operations and Electrical Manager said: “ZFP CAST panels are reliable and our engineers find them easy-to-install. We opted for CAST-PRO devices as they are multi-purpose and very flexible. As they are all-in-one smoke, heat, CO fire, sounder VAD using them saved us a lot of time and money. The offices are also very stylish and minimalistic so our client was keen on achieving a clean neat finish which would simply not have been possible if we had used a variety of devices in different shapes and sizes.”
British-built, CAST-PRO is fully-certified to EN 54 parts 3, 5, 7, 13, 17, 23, 29 and 31 and is compatible with C-TEC’s ZFP CAST touchscreen controlled addressable fire panel and ENVISION cloud-based Fire IoT software – a combination that offers protection from fire, false alarm reduction and system status information like never before.
