Quantec’s new neck pendants have revolutionised the lives of patients and staff at a hospice in North Wales.
All patients at St Kentigern’s Hospice have been allocated a special infrared neck pendant with a 1.2M anti-ligature lanyard to enable them to call for assistance remotely. Calls can be activated via a radio receiver, ceiling receiver or infrared call point to notify staff that a patient requires assistance.
Said Joyce Bellingham, the Manager at St Kentigern’s: “The new infrared pendants have been extremely successful additions to our existing Quantec addressable call system. They are very popular with our patients as they can use them to summon help easily, comfortable in the knowledge that they will be answered quickly.”
Said Dave Coney of DMP Communications which oversees all electrical projects at the hospice: “These innovative new pendants are proving excellent value for money as they are robust, dependable and contribute greatly to the smooth running and organisation of the hospice.”
