Quantec-Pro, C-TEC’s powerful next-generation call system, has been specified at two specialist care homes in Belfast.
Owned by The Abbeyfield Belfast Society, a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to the provision of independent supported living for older people, St Finnian’s and Voysey House are high-quality sheltered-accommodation facilities set in prime residential areas.

In a project completed by Ashdale Engineering Ltd, the old conventional call systems were replaced by Quantec-Pro, the latest version of C-TEC’s best-selling addressable call system. Renowned for its reliability, proven technology and reputation for being continually refined, Quantec has long been favoured by Ashdale for its user-friendly design and versatility, not to mention its capacity for seamless upgrades without the need for full system replacements. As a result, the team at Ashdale was delighted to be presented with the opportunity to upgrade St Finnian’s and Voysey House to Quantec-Pro.
Neil Wilson, Ashdale’s Fire and Security Team Leader said: “We’ve used C-TEC’s systems successfully for over 25 years in an extensive range of care environments so were keen to try Quantec-Pro. The new system is even easier to install and configure plus it has some great new features for the installer and end user particularly Cardiac Call.”
Andy Turner, C-TEC’s Northern Business Development Manager, said: “By retaining the best features of our original Quantec system – stable protocol, easy set-up, optional Cloud-based CQC data monitoring – and by adding advanced efficiency, more programming functions and a new ‘Cardiac’ call level – we have created an incredibly powerful, stylish and intuitive call system that can fulfil the requirements of any care facility.”
