‘CAST’ is the world’s most-advanced ‘distributed intelligence’ fire alarm system protocol. Conceived, designed and realised by C-TEC as part of a five-year, multi-million pound project, it involved the creation of a powerful proprietary communication protocol (C-TEC Addressable System Technology, CAST) and multiple control panels & field devices. Messages – Pair One

Tone/Voice Message 1 (Primary)

Tone: Evacuate (550 Hz for 0.5 sec, 825 Hz for 0.5 sec);
Message: Attention please. Attention please. Fire has been reported in the building. Please leave immediately by the nearest exit. (repeated 2x)

Tone/Voice Message 2 (Secondary)

Tone: Alert (1 sec off, 825 Hz for 1 sec);
Message: This is a fire alert.This is a fire alert. Await further instructions. Await further instructions. (repeated 2x).

Messages – Pair Two

Tone/Voice Message 1 (Primary)

Tone: Evacuate (550 Hz for 0.5 sec, 825 Hz for 0.5;
Message: In the interests of safety please evacuate the building now. (repeated 3x).

Tone/Voice Message 2 (Secondary)

Tone: Alert (1 sec off, 825 Hz for 1 sec);
Message: All Clear. The emergency has been resolved. It is safe to resume normal activities. All Clear. (repeated 2x).
