Operation (as part of an NC951 system)
The NC941 Single Zone Call Controller is compatible with all 800 Series call points, ceiling pulls, infrared ceiling receivers, monitoring points, overdoor lights and remote sounders. Depending on how the Controller is configured and the devices connected to it, Standard and Emergency calls can be indicated via its buzzer and zonal LED. A button is also provided allowing the user to Reset or Mute standard calls depending on how it is confifued, as detailed below.
STANDARD CALLS: when triggered by a calling device, the Controller’s internal buzzer sounds continuously and its zone indicator illuminates steady.
If enabled for Reset operation, pressing the Controller’s button cancels all standard calls.
If enabled for Mute operation, pressing the Controller’s button silences the Controller’s internal buzzer. However, if a new call (standard or emergency) is triggered anywhere on the system, the buzzer will resound.
EMERGENCY CALLS: when triggered by a calling device, the Controller’s internal buzzer pulses and the relevant zone indicator(s) flash. This level of call takes priority over standard calls and cannot be muted or reset at the Controller. An emergency call can only be reset at the device from which it was triggered or via a reset point, wired on the same zone.
Important: A link inside the NC941 Call Controller allows its button to be configured so instead of Resetting or Muting a standard call, it has no effect. The NC941 is not recommended for use in Accessible Toilet Alarm installations as it does not have a Call Accept function. For such installations we recommend you use our NC951 Accessible Toilet Kit, NC943B Call Controller or NC910/20 range of 10-20 zone indicator panels.
